You may apply for a marriage license at any County Clerk Office where you plan to be married. The County Clerk's offices are usually located in the county probate court or circuit court. Information below will give you the general procedures you must follow to obtain your license and the requirements for marriage. * However, If either party is younger one parent or legal guardian must be present. If a parent can not be present, due to death, separation, divorce or other circumstances, proper evidence must be presented for verification. Proper id is required, it is highly suggested you bring a birth certificate and photo id.

If either person has been married, the exact date of divorce or spouse's death must be provided. However, if divorce or spouse's death occurred within the last 90 days, you must bring a certified copy of the divorce decree or death certificate.
